China Daily, Beijing, May 11 (Reporter Zhao Lei) The reporter learned today from the China Aerospace Foundation that from May 10 to 11, more than 100 astronauts, space scientists and space medicine from the United States, Russia, France and China Experts and scholars from the field gathered in Beijing to participate in the preparatory meeting of the 2nd International Symposium on Space Technology Peace Application and Health Theme. The meeting was a complete success.

It is reported that this meeting was supported by International Cooperation Center, NDRC, hosted by China Aerospace Foundation, International Peace Alliance (Space), Entrepreneur Club of Presidential Plaza Hotel, World Health Center and CIIC Group. The Executive Chairman Dr. Wang Tianyi, George Abbey, Senior Researcher of Baker College, Rice University, Wu Zhijian, Chairman of China Space Foundation, Orlov Oleg, Dean of the Russia’s Institute of Biomedical Problems, Jean-Louis Monin，Astrophysicist, Director of the French National Center for Space Studies hosted the meeting. The participants had extensive exchanges and discussions and agreed to continue to promote the peaceful use of space technology and promote world peace through various channels based on the "International Symposium on PeaceApplications of Space Technology". "Great health" is considered the entry point.

The participating parties also agreed on the "International Symposium on Peace Applications of Space Technology" and determined that the Symposium should become a normal, informal annual international conference and set up an expert committee. The meeting also agreed to establish a permanent venue for the International Symposium on Peace Applications of Space Technology in Wenchang, Hainan. The guests expressed the need to organize and actively promote and push forward the application of space technology to human health and medical care, continue to promote the development of aerospace science and technology, civilization, education, and build a new platform for the peaceful use of space technology and international cooperation and exchange.

It is understood that this meeting also decided to follow the Memorandum reached at the first International Symposium on Peace Application of Space Technology in Hainan at the end of January this year to support the construction of the “World Space Town” project in Hainan and actively promote the "Coastal International Financial Center", "Space Medical University" and other projects in the service for space technology development; at the same time, support and help in the peaceful use of space technology projects in China, the United States, Russia, France and other countries.
